Party People: the Hippies
Ik ben begonnen aan een nieuwe serie Party People tekeningen. Dit keer zijn het de Hippie feestvierders van het Hippie strandfeest bij strandtent de Fuut (Scheveningen) vorige zomer 2011. De tekeningen zijn wederom 56 x 78 cm. groot en in potlood, pastelkrijt en soms acrylverf en stift uitgevoerd. De foto’s die ik als voorbeeld gebruik heb ik zelf tijdens het feest gemaakt. Een ander soort feestgangers dan de Halloween griezels…, alhoewel er mensen bij zijn die net zo makkelijk van rol veranderen als van feestje…
I have started the new series of Party People drawings. This time it’s the Hippies who where at the Hippie beach party summer 2011 at ‘De Fuut’ (Scheveningen beach). The drawings are again sized 56 x 78 cm. and are drawn in pencil, pastels and sometimes acrylic paint and marker. I have used photographs that I made myself. A different crowd than the Halloween creeps…, allthough there are people who can change roles as they change parties…
